TIM 50+ Inclusion Initiative, in partnership with Labora, proposes to hire people aged 50 and over who have completed high school education and are comfortable with smartphones. Job openings are available for cities in São Paulo and other states

The telecommunications company TIM Brazil, a subsidiary of Telecom Italia, is currently accepting applications for the TIM 50+ program, which offers job openings for senior professionals at the operator’s sales units. All job openings are in the sales consulting sector in the states of São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná, and Bahia. Recruitment is being conducted through the Labora partnership website.

What TIM 50+ Consists Of

The project arose from a partnership with HRTech specialized in age diversity, Labora. In order for the program to be realized, TIM is working with a startup that connects senior talents to companies through the use of technology. In recent years, Labora has been responsible for training more than 20,000 workers who are part of its community to help them reestablish themselves in the job market, which frequently undergoes transformations.

TIM is committed to inclusion, as evidenced by the availability of a program to hire only transgender individuals. Now, reaffirming this value, TIM is directing its job openings in São Paulo and other locations specifically for individuals aged 50 and older, who are often marginalized in the job market.

The TIM 50+ initiative is intertwined with TIM’s engagement as a signatory of the Generations and Future of Work Forum, an institutional action that brings together companies that also demonstrate commitment to causes of inclusion for professionals of varied ages in job openings across different sectors.

In this context, the Head of Development, Education, and Inclusion in HR at TIM, Giacomo Strazza, states that the estimate is that by 2040, more than half of the workforce in jobs in Brazil will be, at a minimum, 45 years old. “With this in mind, we decided to launch TIM 50+ to give even more visibility to the generational issue in the job market, as we recognize the importance and value of senior professionals,” explains Giacomo.

The TIM 50+ project offers certificates in the qualification courses “Welcome to Your 2nd Career” and “Customer Experience Specialist,” both free and online; training on diversity and generational inclusion for the groups that will receive the talents and specific assistance for 3 months alongside the hired workers, in order to focus on their adaptation to actions and inclusion in the environment.

How to Register for the TIM Employment Program for the States of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais, Bahia, and Paraná

To participate in the selection process, visit the official page of the partnership between TIM and Labora, read the available information carefully, and enter your details by clicking the “Apply” button. Applications for job opportunities in São Paulo and other states will be accepted until February 15.

Necessary Requirements for These Job Openings

To secure the job and be part of the TIM team, it is necessary to be, as previously mentioned, 50 years or older; have availability to work on a schedule, including Saturdays and Sundays; have completed high school and reside in São Paulo, Salvador, Mauá, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba, Rio de Janeiro, or Campinas. Additionally, skills such as good communication ability; ease with public service, and good understanding of digital platforms are sought. Having commercial experience and familiarity with smartphone operating systems, Android, and iOS are advantageous.
