In October 2025, registered families in the Gas Aid program will receive the last cash payment, amounting to R$ 108. The benefit, intended for low income families linked to the Bolsa Família, is a fundamental assistance for purchasing kitchen gas cylinders.

Starting in November, the program will stop directly transferring cash to beneficiaries, adopting alternative methods such as vouchers or digital cards to ensure gas reaches families in need more safely and efficiently.

The payment schedule follows the final digit of each beneficiary’s NIS (Social Identification Number).

The cash payment will be made according to the last digit of the NIS:

Final 2 → 21/10
Final 3 → 22/10
Final 4 → 23/10
Final 5 → 24/10

Final 8 → 29/10
Final 9 → 30/10
Final 0 → 31/10

Even if the Bolsa Família payments are anticipated, the Gas Aid will follow these specific dates, ensuring that all beneficiaries receive the amount of R$ 108 correctly.

Transition from Gas Aid to People’s Gas

With the end of cash payments, the federal government will implement the “People’s Gas” program, which will replace cash value with vouchers, digital cards, or accredited pickup points.
