The Salary Bonus of Up to R$ 1,518 Is Now Being Paid to Workers Who Meet the Benefit Criteria

The payment of the salary bonus PIS 2025 has already begun. Caixa Econômica Federal started the deposits in February, following the schedule set by the Deliberative Council of the Workers’ Support Fund (Codefat).

Millions of Brazilian workers will benefit, but it is essential to understand who is entitled, how to check, and how to receive the amount.

Who Can Receive the PIS in 2025?

The payment of the salary bonus PIS 2025 is aimed at formal workers who met certain requirements in 2023. To be eligible, you must:

  • Have worked with a formal contract for at least 30 days in 2023.
  • Have received up to two minimum wages per month during the period (R$ 2,640.00).
  • Have at least five years of registration in the PIS.
  • Have your data correctly reported by the employer in the RAIS by May 15, 2024, or in eSocial by August 19, 2024.

These criteria are mandatory. Any failure in records or deadlines may prevent the receipt of the benefit.

How to Know if You Are Entitled to the PIS?

Since February 2025, it has been possible to check if the worker is entitled to the payment of the salary bonus. There are three main ways to do this:

  • Digital Work Card: available for smartphones.
  • Gov.br Portal: accessible via the internet.
  • In-person Service: at Regional Labor Superintendencies.

It is recommended to keep your information updated and to check your details in advance. This avoids surprises or delays in payment.

How Much Will Be Paid in 2025?

The amount of the bonus varies according to the length of service in 2023. The calculation is based on the current minimum wage, which in 2025 is R$ 1,518.00.

The worker who worked all year will receive the full amount of R$ 1,518.00. Those who worked only part of the year will receive proportionally. For example:

  • 6 months worked = R$ 759.00
  • 3 months worked = R$ 379.50

The calculation is simple: divide the minimum wage by 12 and multiply by the number of months worked with a formal record.

  • In-person withdrawals at agencies

Banco do Brasil account holders also receive automatically. The process is designed to be simple and accessible for all workers.

Stay Alert to the Salary Bonus Payment Deadlines

The PIS 2025 salary bonus is a right guaranteed by law, but it depends on correct deadlines and records. Therefore, it is ideal for workers to check their situation as soon as possible to ensure everything is in order.

The amounts are available for withdrawal until December 27, 2025. After this date, the benefit may be lost.
