Technip filed appeals arguing that NOV’s proposal would be unfeasible, which was rejected by Petrobras.
The contract will last for four years and the pipes contracted by the company will be of 6” diameter production (44.2 km), 8” production (12.9 km), 57.7 km of 4” gas lift, and 22.2 km of 6” water injection.
NOV has a flexible pipe factory at Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, which has been operating since 2012.
The deliveries of the pipes may be made, upon Petrobras’ request, in Niterói (RJ), Vitória (ES), or at the supplier’s factory, if the freight value is not included.
