NOV Flexibles Signed Contract With Petrobras To Supply 137 Km Of Flexible Pipes
Surpassing two competitors in a bidding process promoted by Petrobras, NOV Flexibles signed a contract with the state-owned company to supply 137 km of flexible pipes. The scope also includes the loading service for pipes and rental of reels.

To secure the contract, NOV faced TechnipFMC and GE O&G. The contract value has not yet been disclosed, but it is known that NOV’s bid in the auction was R$ 633.577 million. The bid from Flexibrás (TechnipFMC) was R$ 975 million and from GE O&G was R$ 1.123 billion.

The contract will last for four years and the pipes contracted by the company will be of 6” diameter production (44.2 km), 8” production (12.9 km), 57.7 km of 4” gas lift, and 22.2 km of 6” water injection.
NOV has a flexible pipe factory at Porto do Açu, in São João da Barra, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, which has been operating since 2012.
The deliveries of the pipes may be made, upon Petrobras’ request, in Niterói (RJ), Vitória (ES), or at the supplier’s factory, if the freight value is not included.
