The company is already a long-time partner of Petrobras, as both have 30 active contracts, most of which are for well services (equipment rental, connection and disconnection services, completion, among others).
The company, based in Ireland but headquartered in Texas (USA), is undergoing a restructuring process. The expectation is that the implementation of the plan, aimed at reducing the company’s debt of US$ 5.8 billion, will occur before the end of the year.
The Weatherford announced vacancies in the area of well completion and intervention, whether by coincidence or not, perhaps to meet the demand from the two signed contracts.
