Consumer’s Pocket
According to Petrobras, the final price of natural gas to consumers is not determined solely by the cost of the gas molecule and transportation, but also by the margins of distributors and federal and state taxes. Furthermore, the approval process of tariffs is conducted by state regulatory agencies, according to specific legislation and regulations.
“Sale contracts for distributors are public and available for consultation on the website of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP)”, it adds.
