The newly created plan will be implemented with full consideration for people, ensuring safety and respecting the environment, with the goal of generating lasting value for future generations. Governance will be fully observed at all decision-making stages and project evaluations, ensuring sustainability and profitability, as well as promoting greater transparency.
The Strategic Plan 2024-2028+, which provides for the allocation of US$ 102 billion in Brazil over the period across all its business sectors, aims to prepare Petrobras for the future and strengthen the company, initiating a process of integration of energy sources essential for a just and responsible energy transition. Oil and Gas Exploration in Espírito Santo
The state of Espírito Santo ranks third in oil and gas production in the Petrobras ranking. The company currently has over 10,000 employees and contractors linked to its operations in Espírito Santo, of which 7,000 are involved in offshore operations.
Among the planned investments for the state, Petrobras plans to begin operations of the FPSO Maria Quitéria in 2025, located on the southern coast of Espírito Santo. This will be the company’s first project with an all-electric platform and a combined energy generation cycle, resulting in lower greenhouse gas emissions. During the estimated production cycle, with the implementation of these new technologies, the FPSO is expected to reduce the emission of more than 5 million tons of CO2, demonstrating a significant commitment to environmental sustainability.
