The award marked a milestone for the Social category through the Ventos da Gente Program, developed in collaboration with local communities in Uibaí and Ibipeba.
Ventos da Gente Program: Impact and Reach
Launched in July 2021, the Ventos da Gente program was based on a socioeconomic diagnosis conducted in partnership with local communities. With a focus on social, educational, and economic development, the program has significantly contributed to income generation, public education, and organic production. In 2023, the program recorded a 98% satisfaction rate among beneficiaries, directly impacting nearly 1,200 people.
Ventos de Santa Eugênia Wind Complex: Advances and Operations
The Ventos de Santa Eugênia Wind Complex, in the final phase of construction, promises to be a reference in renewable energy production. With a capacity of 2,300 gigawatt-hours (GWh) per year, the complex can supply more than one million Brazilian households. With 14 wind farms and 91 turbines, the complex has already begun commercial operations, showcasing Statkraft’s efficiency and commitment to sustainability.
