The VHF-Aeronautical Radio (VHF-A), model A220B, manufactured by ICOM, along with the power supply PS-80, was installed. The difference in relation to the old equipment is the existence of an audio output for recording communications, meaning the transmission and reception signals.
Two VHF-A radio systems were implanted on each of Petrobras’s platforms, one being primary and one backup. The installation was carried out by Waypoint after winning a bidding process in 2018.
