The Areas of Exploration and Production, Gas and Energy, Refining, Transportation, and Marketing Are Within the Petrobras Review, Even the Wind and Solar Energy Fields Are Included in the Investment Scope
Petrobras informs that its Board of Directors approved, in a meeting held yesterday (9/25), the update of the Vision, Purpose, and Strategies for the New Plan 2020-2024, which is in the drafting phase.
Petrobras’ new vision is “to be the best energy company in generating value for shareholders,” focusing on oil and gas with safety, respect for people, and the environment.
“We are building the new Petrobras, a sustainable, competitive company that operates safely and ethically, generating more value for its shareholders and for society. We will be a company dedicated to the exploration and production of oil in deep waters, with less debt. This new Petrobras already incorporates digital transformation as a powerful lever for achieving productivity gains and cost reductions,” emphasized Petrobras President Roberto Castello Branco.

• Maximize the value of the portfolio, focusing on deep and ultra-deep waters, seeking operational efficiency, optimizing the recovery factor, and partnerships
• Grow based on world-class oil and gas assets, in deep and ultra-deep waters
Gas and Energy
• Operate competitively in the marketing of its own gas
• Optimize the thermoelectric portfolio focusing on self-consumption and the marketing of its own gas
• Fully exit the gas distribution and transportation
Refining, Transportation, and Marketing
• Operate competitively in the refining, logistics, and marketing of derivatives focusing on Southeast operations
• Fully exit the fertilizer, LPG distribution, and biodiesel businesses
• Operate competitively in the global marketing of oil
Renewables
• Develop research aimed at long-term operations in renewable energy businesses focusing on wind and solar in Brazil
• Commercially enable renewable diesel and BioQav in response to the sustainability policies of the Brazilian energy matrix
Transversal Strategies
• Digitally transform Petrobras by delivering solutions to challenges, empowering its employees, generating value, and enhancing operational safety
• Develop critical competencies and a high-performance culture to meet the new challenges of the company, using added economic value as a management tool
• Constantly pursue a competitive and efficient cost and investment structure, with a high standard of safety and respect for the environment
• Strengthen Petrobras’ credibility and reputation
Petrobras informs that the New Plan 20-24, which will be integrated into the Strategic Plan, detailing the operational and financial planning for the next five years, is being drafted and will be disclosed to the market as soon as it is approved by the competent bodies of the company.
