The families affected by the blackout will be assisted by Petrobras in the coming days directly, with the food being delivered to their homes to avoid gatherings. This action takes place in conjunction with the School Workshop of Lutherie of the Amazon (OELA), which has partnered with the oil company in other efforts.
“The selection of vulnerable families is made through a social registration mapped by OELA, with which the project is already providing assistance and is being updated with referrals of families harmed by the power outage”, says Petrobras in the statement.

Food Basket
In addition to food, the kits donated by the oil company include other basic necessities that are in short supply in Amapá, such as hygiene materials and mineral water. Donations will be made via river or land in neighborhoods of Macapá or isolated peripheral communities such as the Archipelago of Bailique and Beira Amazonas.
OELA is also open to donations from the general public to assist the population in Amapá. Click here for more information.
