Families affected by the blackout will be benefited by Petrobras in the coming days in direct service, with groceries being delivered at home to avoid crowds. The action takes place in conjunction with the Oficina Escola de Lutheria da Amazônia (OELA), which has already worked in partnership with the oil company in other actions.
“The selection of vulnerable families is done through a social register mapped by OELA, with which the project already performs services and which is being updated with the referrals of families affected by the lack of electricity”, says Petrobras in the statement. .

“We were touched by the difficulties of the communities in Amapá, due to the blackout that occurs at a time like this, already difficult due to the pandemic. We are looking for a way to help alleviate the situation,” says Olinta Cardoso, executive manager of Social Responsibility at Petrobras.
Basic basket
In addition to food, the kits donated by the oil companies include other basic necessities that are lacking in Amapá, such as hygiene material and mineral water. Donations will be made by river or land in Macapá neighborhoods or peripheral and isolated communities such as Bailique Archipelago and Beira Amazonas.
