Shell Hires Helix Energy for Decommissioning Project of Oil Wells Located in Campos Basin
The oil and natural gas company Shell Brazil signed a new and important contract for its operations in the country on November 5th. This is an agreement with Helix Energy, which has recently been signed. The marine solutions company will provide the Q7000 well intervention vessel to the oil company. It will be responsible for the decommissioning project of these structures in the Campos Basin region, located in Southeast Brazil.
For the development of the decommissioning operations of Shell’s wells in the Campos Basin in 2024, Helix Energy will provide the Q7000 vessel, based on a 10k intervention riser system (IRS) and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs).
