On Saturday, May 24, 2025, a Delta Airlines flight departing from Minneapolis to Madison, United States, faced an unusual setback: two doves invaded the aircraft’s cabin, causing a commotion among the passengers and delaying takeoff.

During the boarding of flight 2348, with 119 passengers and five crew members, one of the doves was spotted walking under the seats. Airline staff were alerted and successfully removed the bird before takeoff. Crew And Passenger Reaction
The pilot informed the passengers about the “wild animal situation on the plane” and decided to return to the gate so that the second dove could be safely removed. Videos shared on social media show passengers attempting to capture the bird with clothing, while others expressed surprise and concern.

In an official statement, Delta Airlines thanked the careful actions of its employees and customers for removing the birds from the aircraft before takeoff and apologized for the delay. The company reaffirmed its commitment to the safety and comfort of its passengers.
Incident Outcome
The crew acted quickly and therefore removed the doves from the plane. Soon after, the airline consequently resumed the flight normally. Although the setback occurred, the plane landed in Madison with approximately one hour of delay. Still, despite the delay, no passenger was injured during the trip.
