Common Diesel Price Found at R$ 4.985 and the S-10 Type Reaches R$ 5.037; the Highest Average Price in Brazil Affects Drivers and Carriers
The latest survey by the Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL) indicates that the average price of diesel rose by 0.96% in the first weeks of July compared to the end of the previous month. The fuel was sold at gas stations for R$ 4.775. The S-10 diesel, in the same comparison, showed an increase of 1% and was found at R$ 4.831. In both cases, these are the highest average values per liter of the year.

“Both common diesel and S-10 diesel have recorded price increases in all regions of the country at the beginning of the second semester. For a truck driver with a tank that holds 200 liters of fuel, filling it with the common type is R$ 9.00 more expensive than it was last month,” points out Douglas Pina, Head of Urban Market at Edenred Brazil.

In the North Region, common diesel was found at R$ 4.985, the highest average price in the country. The scenario is the same when considering the S-10 type, sold for R$ 5.037. However, the highest price increase for the common type was recorded in the Northeast, at 1.10% compared to the end of June, while the Sudeste saw the most significant rise for S-10 diesel, at 1.27%. In the South Region, both types of fuel were found at the lowest average prices, R$ 4.413 per liter for common diesel and R$ 4.453 for S-10.

In the breakdown by state, the highest average price for common diesel was recorded in Acre, at R$ 5.682. In Paraná, gas stations sold the fuel at the lowest price, at R$ 4.348.
The same scenario applies to S-10 diesel. Gas stations in Acre sold the fuel at the highest price at R$ 5.668, while those in Paraná had the lowest average price per liter at R$ 4.388.
Fuel Stations in the State of Espírito Santo Lead Price Increase for Diesel
The highest increases in the average price of both types of fuel were recorded in Espírito Santo, where common diesel rose by 1.96% and was found at R$ 4.630. The S-10 type in the state was sold at R$ 4.734, following a 1.94% rise compared to the end of June.
