The Changes to the Innovation Award of the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) Were Announced Yesterday, in the Announcement
A new announcement published yesterday (01) by the ANP (National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels) regarding the technological innovation award has added two new categories: Environmental Impact Reduction/Renewable Energies and Submarine Technologies.

Following the publication of the announcement, interested parties will have until October 7 of this year to submit their applications. The award aims to recognize the results associated with research, development, and innovation (R&D) projects within the oil and gas industry in Brazil.

There will be five categories, starting with the Submarine Technologies category, which will award innovative projects related to subsea technologies, such as techniques, equipment, systems, and more. The second category is Environmental Impact Reduction/Renewable Energies. This category will evaluate projects focused on preventing and reducing environmental impacts, capturing and reducing CO2, emission reduction, waste recycling, among others. The award also includes a category dedicated to innovative projects in Transport, Pipelines, Refining, and Supply.
Lastly, the two final categories are related to Oil and Gas Exploration and Production projects. One of them is exclusive to accredited research institutions. In the other, projects can be developed by Brazilian companies, with or without the participation of an accredited institution. Two individual awards will also be granted, one for the Academia Personality and another for the Industry Personality.
