Company Launches First 100% Autonomous Motorhome Manufactured in Brazil. Named STAR LIGHT, Vehicle Offers Permanent Electricity Without the Need for Charging at External Outlets, with Water Reuse Technology for Bathing and Kitchen
Estrella Mobil, a manufacturer of customized recreational vehicles, has created the first and only 100% autonomous motorhome in Brazil. This means that the vehicle is capable of providing a lot of comfort: electricity, air conditioning, and continuous hot water, without relying on any external power source.

The STAR LIGHT Kit can be installed in any motorhome model or Estrella Mobil’s expedition models. “This solution was created based on customer suggestions who needed complete autonomy combined with practicality and comfort during long trips, especially in certain regions of the north and northeast, where access to electricity is precarious. After extensive research, studies, and tests, we were able to create this kit,” explains Julio Lemos, founder of Estrella Mobil, one of the largest motorhome manufacturers in the country.

STAR LIGHT Features Two Distinct Sources of Power Generation That Allow the Vehicle to Operate Completely for Two Days Without Recharging
Unlike conventional motorhomes, which use the vehicle’s alternator located in the engine to produce energy, the STAR LIGHT kit has two distinct power generation sources: the first through solar energy generating up to 1,200Watts of power and the second through a solution uniquely created in Brazil, which uses new equipment coupled to the vehicle generating energy exclusively for the motorhome’s living area.

The Motorhome is Doubly Sustainable
Water treatment is done in two stages. Wastewater that goes down the shower or sink drain goes straight to the greywater tank, which automatically treats the water. The water returns to the tank clean, free of contaminants, and ready for reuse. “In extreme cases, people can capture river water via a hose directly linked to the tank, which makes the entire treatment process automatic,” he adds.
Another differentiator is the use of a composting toilet, which instead of using water for flushing, uses dry and wet organic materials, such as toilet paper and sawdust, that prevent the creation of sewage that would be dumped into the environment, polluting rivers. Furthermore, with the use of the composting toilet, the odor produced by feces is automatically eliminated. Thus, the motorhome becomes doubly sustainable, as it not only has systems adapted for renewable energy generation but also offers the possibility of transforming fecal waste into fertilizer.
