Suzano Pulp and Paper Has Dozens of New Openings in Its Young Apprentice Program for Candidates Residing in Ceará and Minas Gerais. Interested Candidates Will Have Access to a Free Apprenticeship Course Through Senai.
The Suzano has 18 openings for Young Apprentices at its pulp mills located in cities of Ceará and Minas Gerais. Those hired by the company will be entitled to the benefits guaranteed by the Apprenticeship Law, which include vocational training in the area of work within Suzano. The Young Apprentice positions are open in the cities of Nanuque (MG) and Maracanaú (Ceará). It is worth noting that vocational training will be provided by the National Service for Commercial Learning (Senai).
Requirements to Participate in the Suzano Pulp and Paper Young Apprentice Program
Candidates residing in Ceará or Minas Gerais interested in the company’s openings must be between 18 and 24 years old, according to the Apprenticeship Law, with availability to work 6 hours a day, at Senai and Suzano, totaling 30 hours per week.
If the applicant for the Young Apprentice program is male, it will be necessary to present a Military Reserve Certificate on the day of the selection process. The selected young person for the opportunity must fall into at least one of the vulnerability or social risk profiles listed, exemplarily, in paragraph 5 of article 66 of Decree 9.579/2018.

The validity of the apprenticeship contract presupposes social security, registration in the Work Registration Card, enrollment and attendance of the apprentice in school, in case they have not completed high school.
The approved candidates in the Young Apprentice program at Suzano in Ceará and Minas Gerais will be trained as Electromechanical Maintenance Operators, a course certified by Senai.
This course aims to develop the technical and scientific foundations necessary to understand the phenomena involved in the maintenance process of electromechanical components used in the production process, as well as their control methods, according to technical, health, environmental and workplace safety standards.

There are several advantages to participating in a Young Apprentice Program, given that they have the same labor rights guaranteed such as a signed Work Registration Card, reduced working hours, minimum wage per hour, transportation allowance, 13th salary, and FGTS contributions, with vacations preferably taken during the school period.
Upon completion of the course at Senai, participants can use their training at other companies or even at Suzano.
The remuneration offered to participants in the young apprentice program varies according to the company’s offer, however, it must always respect the current hourly wage in Brazil. Apprentices are also not allowed to work night shifts, dangerous jobs, or perform overtime.
