The Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) has announced that, in 2025, it will offer 6,512 places in 85 free undergraduate courses. This year, UFMG will include three new courses: Computer Engineering, with 80 places available throughout the year, and two degrees in Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the Montes Claros campus.
These new free courses will enable the expansion of educational offerings, with 60 places available for the first semester at the regional campus in Montes Claros, while the Computer Engineering course will have openings at the Pampulha campus in Belo Horizonte.
The university has increased the number of places in the Computer Science and Information Systems courses, from 160 to 200 places. The new places will be distributed across both semesters, allowing for greater training of students in these high-demand fields.

The selection process via Sisu will begin with registrations between January 17 and 21 (access here). The results will be announced on January 26, and selected candidates must enroll from January 27 to 31. Those who are not selected will have until January 31 to express interest in the waiting list.
