Learn Brazilian Sign Language with Deaf Teachers in an Online and Free Course Offered to Participants from All Over Mato Grosso do Sul
The State Department of Education (SED) is accepting registrations for a free LIBRAS course offered by the Professional Education and Deaf Services Training Center (CAS). With a workload of 80 hours, the course is ideal for those who want to learn Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS) through asynchronous classes taught by deaf teachers.
LIBRAS Course Details and Teaching Methodology
The content of the free course covers specific topics such as theory, vocabulary, and examples of signal application in social and educational contexts. In addition, participants will have access to various practical activities.
The course is conducted in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA), through the platform: saber.sed.ms.gov.br in a distance format, covering students from all municipalities in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul.

Requirements for Registration for the LIBRAS Course
To register for the LIBRAS course, candidates must be at least 15 years old and have internet access.
A Gmail account or an edutec.sed.ms.gov.br account (exclusive for teachers and students of REE/MS) is required to submit videos of practical activities.
All communications regarding the course will be sent to the registered email.
Registration Process and Deadline
Registrations for the free course can be made from February 24 to 26, 2025.
