Yes, the Federal Institute of Baiano (IF Baiano) has just opened spots for completely free technical courses in agriculture and agroecology, and the enrollment period is already running.

Spots and How to Enroll

According to the Federal Institute of Baiano, there are 180 spots equally distributed among the agriculture and agroecology courses.

Each course offers 90 spots, and all of them are conducted at the Valença campus, located in the low south of Bahia.

Enrollment is free and can be done until November 8, 2024, both online, through the IF Baiano selection process website, and in person at the campus, on specific days and times. Check below:

Mondays: from 2 PM to 5 PM
Wednesdays: from 9 AM to 12 PM
Thursdays: from 2 PM to 5 PM

If you want to secure your spot, it’s important not to leave it until the last minute. The enrollment requires filling out a form and attaching the documentation required by the notice.

It is essential to pay attention to all the details, as the selection is made based on the grades from the 8th grade of elementary school.

The averages of subjects such as Portuguese language, mathematics, history, science, and geography will be considered for calculating the final score.

What Is the Duration of the Technical Course?

The technical courses in agriculture and agroecology have a minimum duration of three years and are aimed at young people who wish to qualify while attending high school.

One of the advantages of this model is the opportunity to graduate from the course with a technical qualification, something highly valued in today’s job market.

Students will have the option to choose up to two course modalities at the time of enrollment.

However, the second option will only be considered if there are spots available after the selection of candidates qualified in the first option.

This ensures that all interested parties have a chance to participate in the course of their choice.

Results and Enrollment

According to IF Baiano, the announcement of the final results is expected on December 20, 2024.

Therefore, keep an eye on the dates so you don’t miss this chance to secure your spot. Enrollment is expected to occur in January 2025.
