Learn About the Lucas Supermarket Chain
The Lucas supermarket chain began in the 1990s in Tupaciguara (MG), when Divino do Nascimento, who was then working as a street vendor, decided to open a grocery store to expand his sales.
The unit was named Mini Mercado Lucas, where only food products were sold, and due to the small size of the location and the limited variety of products, it was necessary to expand even further. It was then that, in 1995, the company opened its new facilities, which now included sections such as bakery, produce, and butcher, offering a greater variety of products to consumers in the region.
In 2002, the Lucas Supermarket Chain emerged, with its first branches being inaugurated in Canápolis and Prata. Since then, the expansion has not stopped, and currently, the company provides jobs for thousands of people and serves millions of customers per year, always offering good prices and products, making it a reference in the retail sector.
