“Over the years, the refinery needs to undergo these periodic adjustments. Each cycle of five to six years requires a shutdown to review equipment and automation processes, ensuring that the plant continues to operate with high efficiency and profitability,” says Cavalcanti.

Cavalcanti explains that, despite the influx of new workers, refinery production will not be completely halted, as activities will be divided into blocks.
