New Duster Will Be The First Model In The Line To Be Built On The Same Platform As The New Captur, The Latest Kicks, The New Kadjar, And The New Mitsubishi X-Force

The new third-generation Duster will be the first model in the line to be built on the modular CMF-B platform of Renault-Nissan, the same architecture that supports a variety of models, including the new Captur, the latest Kicks, the new Kadjar, and the new Mitsubishi X-Force.

This shift to a shared platform represents a strategic alliance between the Renault, Nissan, and Mitsubishi brands, offering greater economies of scale and the potential for enhanced capabilities.

Impressive Exterior Design: New Mini SUV From Renault Comes With Door Handles Hidden In The C Pillars

Visually, the new Duster is a significant departure from its predecessor, featuring a more modern and robust appearance. The front has a grille that connects the headlights, which now use full-LED technology and a distinctive Y-shaped lighting signature.Yaris Cross

The muscular front bumper incorporates gray accents and air intakes, further emphasizing the robust character of the SUV. On the sides, the Duster displays hidden door handles in the C pillars, adding a touch of elegance, while the roof rails are highlighted, giving it an imposing presence.Yaris Cross

Increased Dimensions And Improved Practicality

In terms of dimensions, the new Duster has maintained a similar overall length of 4.34 meters, but the wheelbase has been slightly reduced from 2.67 to 2.65 meters. However, the interior layout has been optimized, resulting in a more spacious cabin, despite the shorter wheelbase. The width has increased from 1.80 to 1.88 meters, and the height has grown by 1 centimeter, now measuring 1.69 meters. The trunk capacity is also impressive, with 475 liters of luggage space.Yaris Cross

Hybrid Powertrain Options That Combine A Naturally Aspirated 1.6-Liter Gasoline Engine With Two Electric Motors And A 1.2 kWh Battery

One of the most significant advances in the new Duster is the introduction of hybrid powertrain options. Buyers will have the choice between a full hybrid system and a mild hybrid configuration. The full hybrid system combines a naturally aspirated 1.6-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors and a 1.2 kWh battery, delivering a total power output of 140 HP and 250 Nm of torque. This hybrid system promises excellent fuel efficiency, with an estimated average consumption of 24.5 km/l.Yaris Cross

The mild hybrid variant combines a 1.2-liter turbo gasoline engine with a 48V electric motor, producing a combined power output of 130 HP and 220 Nm of torque. This configuration is paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and can also be combined with a six-speed manual gearbox.Yaris Cross

For the Brazilian market, it is likely that the Duster will also offer a 1.0-liter turbo TCe engine with direct fuel injection, delivering 125 HP and 224 Nm of torque, as well as the well-known 1.3-liter turbo flex-fuel engine with up to 170 HP and 275 Nm of torque.Yaris Cross

Duster 2025: Cutting-Edge Technology And Safety Features

The new Duster is set to impress with its comprehensive list of features and technologies. The cabin features a configurable 7-inch digital instrument panel, electronic parking brake, and a joystick-style gear lever. The infotainment system comes in variants with an 8-inch or 10-inch touchscreen, offering seamless integration with smartphones through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.Yaris Cross

In terms of safety, the Duster has made a significant leap, offering previously unseen features in this segment. These include adaptive cruise control (ACC), collision warning with autonomous emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane departure warning with lane-keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with braking, and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems.Yaris Cross

New Mini SUV From Renault Is Cheaper Than Hyundai Creta And Toyota Yaris Cross

The new third-generation Renault Duster is set to hit the Brazilian market in 2025, positioned above the newly launched Renault Kadjar in the brand’s lineup. Cheaper than the Hyundai Creta and Toyota Yaris Cross, prices are expected to range between R$ 150,000 and R$ 200,000, making it an attractive proposition in the compact SUV segment. Yaris Cross

With its striking design, hybrid powertrain options, and extensive list of safety features and technologies, the brand-new Duster is poised to redefine expectations of what a compact SUV can offer.
