The Volkswagen factory in São José dos Pinhais (PR) has stopped production of the T-Cross to make adjustments and changes to the compact SUV. With a return scheduled for March 19, the pause aims to prepare the line for the production of the 2025 T-Cross SUV, which promises to refresh the model and maintain its success in the Brazilian market.
The halt in production of the Volkswagen T-Cross at the PR factory is part of the annual production planning of Volkswagen. The company aims to adjust the line and validate processes for the manufacturing of the renewed SUV.
SUV Sales Success
Even with the arrival of the new version, the Volkswagen T-Cross 2025 arrives at a glorious moment for the model. In 2023, the SUV was the best-selling in its category in Brazil, surpassing 70,000 annual registrations.

The engines of the T-Cross 2025 are expected to remain the same at the factory, with options of a 1.0 turbo with 128 hp and a 1.4 turbo with 150 hp. In the future, it is possible that the national model will adopt the 1.5 TSI Evo2, with potential mild hybrid 48V versions.
The temporary suspension of T-Cross production at the factory marks the beginning of a new phase for the SUV, which promises to remain a benchmark in its segment.
