Despite Being a Reference in the Automotive World, the Truth Is That Electric Drive Is the Best Option for a Rolls-Royce. After 120 Years of Attempts, the Company Realized That There Is Nothing Smoother and Quieter Than a Car Powered by Electricity.
Thus, Rolls-Royce has introduced a new model: the Spectre fully electric is already arriving for its new customers. As the company knows the needs of its clients, it has developed an intimate electric car that fits the market.
In 2011, the company even launched a demonstration model electric, a Phantom called 102EX. Unique, it had a long-lasting engine, as well as being quiet and practical. However, even though the novelty was enviable for its time, customers were still not ready for such technology.
Now, with the booming electric car market, Rolls-Royce has managed to develop a larger, more spacious car with enough range to make the user experience interactive and dynamic.

New Rolls-Royce Will Bring a Blend of Modernity with Retro Aspects
The Spectre, the first electric Rolls-Royce, will be a coupe. For the company, this launch represents a celebration, as it is not only a dynamic convertible but also an emotional one. According to Rolls-Royce, the mission is for the Spectre to replace the Phantom Coupe, absent from the market since 2016.
With 23-inch diameter wheels, the Spectre is literally a full-sized Rolls-Royce. The car will achieve 320 miles per charge, in addition to having a 0.25 DC motor. Moreover, the biggest expectation is regarding its design: it must resemble a Rolls-Royce.
In addition to its excellent configuration, it also features a battery with modern BMW cells, but in an exclusive size to fit in the car’s floor. On the other hand, it is important to mention that the Spectre has EESM type motors that do not use corrosive metals and ensure high speeds. Another positive aspect is its architecture, designed in exclusive aluminum by Goodwood.
The First Electric Rolls-Royce Will Bring Old Concepts
Despite having a completely electric propulsion, this idea is not exactly new. This is because the model belonged to the old Phantom’s briefing. In addition, the Spectre will feature pneumatic springs, adaptive dampers, resonators to suppress wheel vibrations, variable roll stiffness, and four-wheel steering.
However, Rolls-Royce stated that the Spectre should be proud not only of its hardware. This is because the algorithms that control the car provide a true experience, offering users safety and dynamism when driving. Therefore, besides being a car, the Spectre is a true experiment for the driver.
Finally, even with all these details, Rolls-Royce has not yet disclosed the price of the Spectre. Being one of the big promises of the year, it is believed that the car will cost around £200,000, at least in an initial batch. However, the commissioned market may cause its price to change, but it is still early to discuss that.
