The Government of São Paulo announced this Tuesday (28), during Agrishow in Ribeirão Preto (SP), a R$ 455 million investment package to strengthen the state’s agribusiness. The main financial pillar is rural credit, with R$ 400 million allocated to expanding financing, agricultural insurance, and advancing land tenure regularization.
The presentation was made by Governor Tarcísio de Freitas and brings together actions focused on production, investment, rural insurance, mechanization, and land tenure organization. The package also includes measures for innovation, inclusion, sustainability, and productive infrastructure in São Paulo municipalities.
Rural credit will have R$ 400 million and a boost to FEAP
Of the total announced, R$ 400 million will be applied to the expansion of rural credit, agricultural insurance, and land tenure regularization. The highlight is the reinforcement of the São Paulo Agribusiness Expansion Fund, FEAP, which concentrates financing lines for production, investment, and rural insurance.

The state government considers the package the largest volume of subsidy and credit ever made available by the state. The measure seeks to maintain a level of credit considered strategic for the planning of São Paulo’s rural producers.
During the announcement, Tarcísio de Freitas highlighted the impact of the transfer to FEAP on the financial organization of producers. “With the record transfer to FEAP, we maintain a level of credit that guarantees security for the rural producer, with subsidized interest rates, up to 20% lower than in other programs,” he stated.
Agricultural insurance can protect up to R$ 18 billion in production
The rural insurance program will have R$ 100 million in premium subsidies. The forecast is to serve about 20,000 policies and protect up to R$ 18 billion in production in the state.
The initiative expands the scope of the package beyond rural credit, including financial protection instruments for agricultural activities. Rural insurance appears as one of the central fronts of the announcement made at Agrishow.
The package also provides R$ 40 million for the Pró-Trator program, aimed at the acquisition of machinery and equipment. The estimate is to finance about a thousand items, with a direct impact on the mechanization of production.
In addition to this investment, the government distributed 177 machines and equipment to 174 municipalities through the Patrulha Rural program. The delivery reinforces the productive infrastructure in different regions of the state.
Land tenure regularization advances with the delivery of rural titles
Land tenure regularization is another pillar of the package announced in Ribeirão Preto. The government delivered 42 rural titles and reported that the state program has already delivered more than 5,300 titles.
The regularized area reaches about 250,000 hectares, focusing on small and medium-sized producers. The measure is part of the set of actions linked to rural credit, property organization, and access to public policies in the sector.
Access to credit lines and subsidies will now require the Rural Environmental Registry (CAR), which is in progress. The requirement links financial support to the environmental regularization of rural properties.
Women, research, and sustainability are included in the package
Among the announced initiatives, FEAP Mulher received R$ 25 million, the largest contribution since the line was created. The action is aimed at rural credit for female rural producers.
The government also launched the Thematic Chamber for Women in Agribusiness. The measure expands dialogue spaces in the sector and is part of the package presented during Agrishow.
In the area of innovation, the appointment of 37 new researchers from the São Paulo Agribusiness Technology Agency, APTA, was announced. The package also includes partnerships for the implementation of research and technical training centers.
The environmental actions include stricter rules for the use of fire in agricultural practices. Ecological restoration projects in settlements are also planned, focusing on the recovery of protected areas and income generation.
The package also includes reinforcement in rural fire prevention. The measures include training for producers and distribution of equipment for rapid response in more vulnerable areas.
With R$ 455 million in investments, R$ 400 million allocated to rural credit and actions distributed among financing, insurance, mechanization, regularization, and sustainability, the announcement places São Paulo’s agribusiness at the center of the priorities presented by the government at Agrishow. The set of measures combines financial support, productive structure, and environmental requirements for the state’s rural producers.
