Seduc of Piauí opens spots in free technical EaD courses for basic education professionals

The new selection process by the Education Department of Piauí is part of the actions of the Profuncionário Program, a Federal Government initiative aimed at the free technical training of technical-administrative staff working in public schools. The program’s resources come from Pronatec, the National Program for Access to Technical Education and Employment.

According to Seduc, the free technical EaD courses were structured to serve professionals already working in the school environment who need specific technical training in areas related to administration, food, infrastructure, and pedagogical support of public schools.

The classes will be conducted predominantly at a distance, with synchronous and asynchronous activities. This means that students will have access to both real-time online meetings and recorded content available on the program’s educational platform. Seduc also informed that 20% of the workload will be in-person, as required by technical training.

Which free technical EaD courses are available in the Seduc PI selection process

The notice released by Seduc of Piauí offers spots in four subsequent technical courses specifically aimed at operational and administrative areas of public education.

The available courses are: School Secretariat, Didactic Multimedia, School Infrastructure, and School Food. Each training was created to meet specific functions within the public school network’s teaching units.

The School Secretary course is aimed at school secretaries, administrative assistants, educational assistants, and professionals interested in deepening their knowledge of educational legislation, enrollments, academic documentation, and student attendance control.

The Didactic Multimedia course caters to non-teaching staff involved in pedagogical support and professionals interested in working with educational technologies, digital media, and didactic tools applied to the school environment.

The School Infrastructure course is aimed at workers responsible for the maintenance of school facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, environmental comfort, building conservation, and management of the physical spaces of schools.

In the area of School Nutrition, the focus is on professionals responsible for the preparation, storage, and distribution of food offered in public educational units. The technical content includes good sanitary practices, food safety, and organization of school kitchens.

According to Seduc, the selection process will follow the order of registration according to the number of available spots in each municipality and course offered.

A scholarship of R$ 600 will be paid to selected students during supervised practice

One of the main attractions of the selection process is the granting of a scholarship to approved participants. Seduc officially confirmed that the selected course participants will receive a total financial aid of R$ 600 throughout the program.

The payment will be made in three installments of R$ 200 during the execution of the supervised professional practice. The scholarship serves as an incentive for students to remain in the technical course and support the practical activities required by the training.

The notice does not mention any requirement for enrollment fees or tuition, reinforcing that the courses are completely free for the selected professionals.

Who can enroll in the free EaD technical courses of Seduc PI

The spots are exclusively for basic education professionals from the public network who have completed high school. This requirement is stated in the official notice published by Seduc.

In the case of the School Secretary course, school secretaries, administrative assistants, educational assistants, and professionals interested in the area of school management can participate. For Didactic Multimedia, the focus is on workers who provide pedagogical support, educational technologies, and digital resources aimed at teaching.

School Infrastructure caters to professionals involved in the physical maintenance of schools, while School Nutrition includes workers responsible for the production and distribution of meals in public educational units.

The selection will be made in chronological order of registration, respecting the number of available slots for each course and municipality. This means that candidates who register more quickly have a higher chance of being classified within the offered slots.
