According to the website Correio 24 Horas, Senai Bahia, the largest professional education institution in the state, is providing a unique opportunity for low-income youth to start their professional careers. With the opening of 850 free scholarships, the selection process for the 2024.1 semester offers a total of 6,424 vacancies in face-to-face and hybrid courses in 10 Bahian cities, including Salvador. This initiative aims to facilitate access for students with good academic performance to the labor market in a qualified manner.

Patrícia Evangelista, Executive Superintendent of Professional Education at Senai Bahia, highlights the importance of the scholarships, enabling low-income youth to enroll in free technical courses. This is a unique opportunity to transform their lives, opening doors to the job market. Rafael Weber Cruz, a student in electromechanics benefiting from a scholarship, shares his experience, emphasizing how Senai is essential for his training and employability.

The scholarships are aimed at students with an ENEM score equal to or greater than 500 points, who declare low income and meet other requirements of the notice. The selection of beneficiaries will be based on the highest scores in the ENEM among the candidates. There are 557 vacancies offered for face-to-face courses and 293 for hybrid courses in areas such as Administration, Electromechanics, Petrochemistry, among others.
