What an Animal Science technician does
In the exercise of their function, the Animal Science technician acts directly in the management, nutrition, reproduction, and genetic improvement of herds, in addition to supporting strategic decisions within rural properties.
In parallel, the training qualifies for activities related to sanitary control, animal welfare, and the organization of productive processes involving animal-derived foods in different agricultural chains.
Within their field of action, this professional can contribute to beef and dairy cattle systems, small ruminant farming, poultry farming, pig farming, and other relevant fronts for national agribusiness.
For this, it is essential to monitor productive indicators, apply updated techniques, and adopt practices that increase efficiency, always considering the technical and operational aspects of the properties served.
Considering the course structure, the presence at centers with practical activities allows students to experience real situations, strengthening the connection between theory and practice throughout the training.
Who can participate in the Senar selection
Native or naturalized Brazilians who have completed high school by the time of enrollment can participate, respecting the criteria defined in the current public notice.
In this context, the selection process initially prioritizes candidates linked to the rural environment, reserving part of the vacancies for producers, family members, and workers who prove direct involvement in the sector.
For this group, it is necessary to present documents such as State Producer Registration, CCIR, DAP, CAF, or a declaration issued by a rural union proving the link to the activity.
On the other hand, the general public can also participate, competing for remaining vacancies by presenting a high school certificate and transcript, as required in the registration stage.
Restrictions also apply, preventing the participation of candidates with active, locked, or recently canceled enrollment in Senar’s own technical courses.
Selection stages and in-person enrollment
During the selection process, candidates are classified through the analysis of documents submitted at the time of registration, without the application of traditional in-person exams.
According to the official schedule, the preliminary list of qualified candidates will be released on June 10, 2026, while the final result is expected on June 18 of the same year.
Subsequently, approved candidates must complete in-person enrollment between June 19 and 27, 2026, presenting the required documentation in original or authenticated format.
To avoid inconsistencies, the guidance is to carefully consult the public notice and verify all requirements before appearing at the chosen center to finalize enrollment.
