MEC Opens Enrollment for Fies 2025 from July 14 to 18

The Ministry of Education (MEC) announced that enrollment for the Student Financing Fund (Fies) for the second semester of 2025 will be open from July 14 to 18. The selection process will be conducted exclusively through the Single Portal for Access to Higher Education (access here).

According to MEC, there will be 67,000 vacancies for financing undergraduate courses at private higher education institutions, with a positive evaluation in the National System for the Evaluation of Higher Education (Sinaes).

What is Fies?

Fies is a program of the Ministry of Education that offers interest-free student financing for low-income students in private higher education institutions.

Who Can Apply?

First of all, to participate in the selection process, the candidate must:

• Have participated in the Enem since 2010;
• In addition, must have achieved a minimum score of 450 points on the tests;
• Not have received a zero on the essay;
• And finally, must have a family income of up to three minimum wages per person.

Fies 2025.2 Schedule

• Enrollment: from July 14 to 18, 2025
• Pre-selection Result: July 29
• Enrollment Completion: July 30 to August 1
• Waiting List: August 5 to September 19
