End of the Line for WR-V and HR-V
With the arrival of the new model, both the Honda WR-V and HR-V will be discontinued. This mainly happens due to new pollutant emission protocols and the high costs of adapting the current engines.
At the moment, Honda only offers hatchback and sedan models in its catalog, making the arrival of the Elevate even more awaited. In India, the Elevate is equipped with a 1.5 naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, capable of generating up to 121 horsepower.
Here, it is very likely that it will arrive with the same engine as the Honda City, also 1.5, but with 126 horsepower when running on ethanol. The car is also expected to feature a 7-speed CVT automatic transmission.
Honda’s Hybrid Future in Brazil?
Honda has already announced that the Elevate will have a hybrid version in the future. This will certainly be an extra attraction for consumers concerned about sustainability.
The design of the Elevate is eye-catching. It will feature LED headlights and taillights, along with a high-quality interior appearance. Highlights include the multimedia center with a 10.25-inch screen, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The SUV will have a trunk capacity of 458 liters and robust dimensions: 4.31 meters in length, 1.79 m in width, and 1.65 m in height. In terms of safety, although not yet disclosed by the company, it is expected that the vehicle will be well-equipped, in line with the Honda standard of quality.
The guess is that the Honda Elevate has everything to be a sales success in Brazil, bringing a combination of ruggedness, technology, and comfort. Now we just have to wait and see.
