Suzuki, a giant in the two-wheeler market, unveiled its new Trail from the DR-Z 400 line at EICMA 2024, the Milan Motorcycle Show. Executives Comment on the New Suzuki Trail
For 2025, the models underwent a complete overhaul. With a new frame, suspensions, and engine, along with more technology, the new Suzuki motorcycle will be available again in Europe. However, there is no information on whether the models will come to the country. Executives from J.Toledo, the company representing Suzuki in Brazil, were present at the Milan Show 2024.
However, according to a statement from J. Toledo, only the new crossover GSX-S1000GX and the sport GSX-8R, showcased at the event, are confirmed to arrive in Brazil in 2025. The company states that it is exploring the possibility of bringing the new 400 cc Suzukis.

What Will the New Suzuki Trail Be Like?
The new Suzuki DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM motorcycles share a new 400 cc engine and actually replace the DR-Z 400S and DR-Z 400SM. Both motorcycles share the same engine.
The single-cylinder with double overhead camshaft, liquid cooling has a five-speed transmission with a slipper clutch. The new Trail from Suzuki delivers 38 hp at 8,000 RPM and 3.7 kgfm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
The new motorcycle’s upper double cradle frame in steel is completely new, as is the adjustable KYB inverted front suspension. In terms of electronics, there is now ride-by-wire with three engine maps, adjustable traction control, and ABS, which can be disabled on the rear wheel for the SM and on both wheels for the S.
The other differences between the two models naturally involve the wheels. The DR-Z4S trail has a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel, while both are 17 inches on the SM. Additionally, the front brake disc is floating and larger in the case of the DR-Z4 SM.
The motorcycles also feature the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, which includes three riding modes for adaptation to the rider’s style and road conditions. Additionally, adjustable traction control in two levels and configurable ABS are present.
Suzuki Motorcycles That Will Arrive in Brazil in 2025
Although the brand has not confirmed the arrival of this new Suzuki Trail in the Brazilian market, J.Toledo announced two Suzuki launches for 2025: the sporty adventure GSX S1000GX and the sport GSX-8R.
The crossover GSX-S1000GX combines sportiness and comfort. Equipped with the GSX-S1000 series engine, producing 150 hp, it has the necessary performance for sporty riding while incorporating new technologies and equipment to enhance touring capabilities.
The sport GSX-8R from Suzuki is based on the Naked GSX-8S, already available in the brand’s stores here. Despite the fairings and sporty design, it has a rational proposal, with its 766 cc twin-cylinder engine producing 83 hp. Both models will land here next year. However, the exact launch date and price of the new motorcycles have not yet been determined by the brand.
