Become an expert in Industrial Automation at the Federal Institute: IFSP opens 280 spots in a technical course lasting up to 4 semesters, focused on robotics, Industry 4.0, and high-demand automated processes in the market.
Candidates must obligatorily live in the city to secure a job with a signed contract and a R$ 1.4 thousand scholarship
Unlike traditional technical courses, this project merges the classroom with the assembly line of one of the world’s largest construction machinery manufacturers.
The hybrid model allows the student to take the theoretical part in distance learning (EaD) through the Três Corações Campus, while the practical workload takes place directly at the industrial plant.
Therefore, the 18-month course offers a complete experience:
- Guaranteed Remuneration: The student receives a monthly scholarship of R$ 1,425.97.
- Employment Bond: The hiring is done via an apprenticeship regime, with a signed work card.
- Federal Certification: The diploma is issued by the Federal Institute, ensuring academic weight to the curriculum.
- Attendance: Practical activities take place at the company and in campus laboratories, requiring the student’s physical availability.
Vacancies for the Federal Institute’s technical course will be distributed by lottery
One of the most accessible features of this notice is the absence of a conventional entrance exam. The Federal Institute will replace objective tests with an official electronic lottery. Thus, all candidates whose documentation is approved in the initial phase will have equal chances of classification.
However, the lottery is just the first step. After being selected on June 15, 2026, the candidate will need to undergo admission exams conducted by XCMG.
These exams are eliminatory and fundamental for signing the contract. Furthermore, approved candidates must present items such as PIS, Voter ID, and military discharge certificate to validate their entry.
More than 50% of the Federal Institute’s technical course vacancies are for quotas
The commitment to social inclusion is a central pillar of this selection. Of the 45 vacancies offered by the Federal Institute, the majority are designated for affirmative actions for public school graduates.
The detailed distribution of vacancies includes:
- General Competition: 21 vacancies.
- Public School Quotas (Income ≤ 1 Minimum Wage): Includes vacancies for black, brown, indigenous people (8 vacancies) and quilombolas (1 vacancy).
- People with Disabilities (PwD): Vacancies reserved for both general competition and public school modalities.
- Salary Reference: For the calculation of per capita income, the notice uses the value of R$ 1,621.00.
How to apply for the Federal Institute’s technical course?
Registrations must be made exclusively online until May 29, 2026. The official IFSULDEMINAS Entrance Exam portal requires the use of a gov.br account for access.
Although there is a fee of R$ 10.00, the **Federal Institute** allows exemption requests until May 15 for low-income candidates registered in CadÚnico.
It is essential that the interested party organizes their digital documentation in advance. As the process involves hiring by a multinational company, the accuracy of residence and education information will ensure that the candidate is not disqualified even before the draw.
With the start scheduled for the second half of 2026, this is the ideal opportunity for those seeking top-tier qualification and immediate financial independence.
About XCMG
XCMG began its journey in Brazil in 2004, accompanying the evolution of international trade and strengthening its global expansion strategy.
The brand was a pioneer in bringing Chinese heavy construction machinery to the Brazilian market, starting its operations through authorized distributors in different regions of the country.
With growing demand and the brand’s consolidation in the sector, XCMG identified a strategic opportunity in Brazil to expand its presence in Latin America. As a result, the company invested in the construction of its manufacturing unit in Pouso Alegre, Minas Gerais.
The project began in 2012 with the groundbreaking ceremony, and the factory was officially inaugurated in 2014.
XCMG’s structure occupies a total area of approximately 1 million square meters, including about 150,000 square meters designated for industrial facilities.
The complex features four main production sheds and various support structures, prepared for processes such as welding, machining, painting, assembly, and component preparation.
The annual production capacity reaches 7,000 pieces of equipment, including lines of truck cranes, loaders, excavators, motor graders, and compactors, all available with FINAME financing options.
In addition to the factory in Minas Gerais, XCMG has a modern Parts and Services Distribution Center in Guarulhos, São Paulo, aimed at serving all of Latin America. The unit also houses a technical training center approved by the manufacturer.
The company also maintains specialized operations in the mining sector in the cities of Contagem (MG) and Parauapebas (PA).
Prepared to serve both the existing fleet in operation and the introduction of new equipment in the country, XCMG constantly invests in technology, support, and technical training.
The training offered by the brand ensures greater operational efficiency and better utilization of the technological resources present in its machines.
With an extensive network of distributors throughout the national territory and customers satisfied with the quality of its products, XCMG continues to expand its operations and strengthen partnerships, always with the aim of consolidating its position among the leading global companies in the heavy machinery sector.
