Innovation in Renewable Energy Commissioning
Tecnogera, one of the leading companies in the Brazilian temporary energy and energy security market, is about to complete an innovative project: the first 6MW load bank. This pioneering development, scheduled to be launched in the first half of 2024, represents a significant milestone in the company’s efforts in the commissioning of wind and solar photovoltaic parks.
Technological Advancement in Renewable Energies
The creation of the 6MW load bank by Tecnogera is a response to new market demands, particularly in the advancement of wind farms and the increase in the capacity of wind turbines. “We identified the emerging need for more powerful load banks to efficiently serve solar photovoltaic and wind parks,” explains Rodrigo Barros, key account for renewable energies at Tecnogera.
Strategic Commissioning of Wind and Solar Parks
Load banks are essential in the commissioning of renewable energy installations, simulating plant operation and performing crucial checks before the start of operations. “This stage is vital to anticipate the start of commercial operations by up to three months, also ensuring the acceleration of billing,” highlights Barros. With a significant fleet of load banks, Tecnogera has already commissioned over 3,700 wind turbines and 10GW of capacity, in addition to 16 solar photovoltaic parks in five states, totaling 4.5GW.

The world has bet on green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, but now faces the side effect: producing 1 kilogram requires about 9 liters of ultrapure water, and the largest projects on the planet are precisely in the driest regions of the Earth, where water is already scarce for people.

Leadership and Expansion in the Energy Market
Tecnogera reinforces its leadership position in the commissioning of wind and solar photovoltaic parks with this new project. “Our goal is to meet the demands of a constantly evolving market, such as the recent offshore wind energy projects, where we already have a significant presence and are prepared to expand our operations,” says Barros.
