World’s largest twin-engine cargo plane, Boeing 777-300ERSF from Kalitta Air landed in Viracopos for the second time, after departing from Miami, with arrival and departure broadcast live on YouTube
The 777-300ERSF, the world’s largest twin-engine cargo plane, returned to Brazil on Saturday, February 7th of this year, when it landed in Viracopos, Campinas, marking only the second appearance of the model in the country in history.
Landing in Campinas occurred early in the morning
Registered with the registration N780CK, the Boeing 777-300ERSF from Kalitta Air took off from Miami, United States, on flight CKS-271. The aircraft landed at Viracopos International Airport at 07:37 in the morning.
The arrival drew attention because the model is still a rare presence in Brazil. This Saturday’s landing occurred three weeks after the first visit of the SF version of the Boeing 777-300ER to the country, recorded on January 17th, when the type landed for the first time in history on Brazilian territory.

World’s largest twin-engine cargo plane
The 777-300ERSF is the result of converting the Boeing 777-300ER, originally used for passenger transport, for cargo operations. This adaptation transforms the model into the world’s largest twin-engine cargo plane.
The difference lies in the origin of the aircraft. The factory freighter 777, called 777F, is produced based on the 777-200. Meanwhile, the 777-300ERSF is derived from the 777-300ER version, larger than the one used in the original freighter.

Kalitta Air already operates a regular route
Kalitta Air operates regular flights to Brazil, with landings on Saturdays in Campinas early in the morning. Normally, the company uses its Boeing 777F for this operation.
As the launch customer of the 777-300ERSF, the American company already has some units of this equipment in its fleet since the end of last year. On January 17, it deployed the model for the first time on this Brazilian route.
On that occasion, the company repeated the operation and brought the N780CK back to Viracopos. As a result, Campinas airport received for the second time the converted freighter that has become a reference for size among twin-engine cargo aircraft.

Landing and departure were broadcast live
The landing of the N780CK was broadcast live by cameras from the channels “Golf Oscar Romeo” and “Viracopos ao Vivo” on YouTube. The images showed different angles of the freighter’s arrival.
In addition to the landing, the aircraft’s departure was also shown live by the “Viracopos ao Vivo” camera. The recordings allow viewers to revisit the passage of the 777-300ERSF through Viracopos. The footage highlighted the rarity of the visit for those who followed the air movement.
