Neoenergia and Senai Offer Free Electrician Course With Up to 800 Hours of Duration, Positions in Seabra and Itaberaba, and Enrollment Extended for 30 More Days. The Free Training Promises to Open Opportunities in the Bahian Electricity Sector.

Neoenergia Coelba has extended the enrollment period for new classes of the Electricians School in Seabra and Itaberaba, in the Chapada Diamantina, by 30 days.

The training, developed in partnership with SENAI/BA, offers 54 free spots for qualification focused on the energy distribution network.

In Seabra, the class will run in the day shift; in Itaberaba, the offering will be in the night period.

Enrollment is done only online, and candidates need to have completed high school and a definitive driver’s license category B or higher.

Free Course Focused on the Energy Market

The program aims to prepare workers for field activities, emphasizing safety procedures, technical standards, and operation of electricity distribution networks.

At the end, participants will be able to perform functions that require practical and theoretical knowledge, both in maintenance and system expansion.

The training is free and, according to the company, targeted at those seeking entry or re-entry into a sector that demands qualified labor.

Working Hours and Class Organization

The curriculum adds up to 540 to 800 hours of training, distributed between theoretical content and supervised practical activities.

The curricular structure includes fundamentals of electricity, reading and interpreting projects, working at heights, safe operation of equipment, and notions of customer service in field services.

In addition to classroom learning, students undergo practical modules in controlled environments and, when applicable, applied experiences in installations simulating real network conditions.

In Seabra, classes will take place during the day, which facilitates the routine of those who work at night or have commitments in the evening.

In Itaberaba, the organization is reversed: activities will be at night, an option that allows the participation of candidates with daytime occupations.

This arrangement seeks to broaden access and reduce logistical barriers typical of rural areas, where commuting and schedules often determine adherence to long courses.

Who Can Apply

To compete, it is necessary to prove completed high school and present definitive CNH in category B (or higher).

The requirement for a driver’s license is explained by the profile of activities performed by electricians working in the field, often with constant relocations between work fronts, inspections or emergency services.

A minimum age of 18 years is required for obtaining a definitive CNH; other participation criteria, such as documentation and selection stages, are detailed at the time of enrollment.

Partnership SENAI/BA and Practical Qualification

The collaboration with SENAI/BA enhances infrastructure with laboratories and instructors with industrial experience.

The pedagogical design favors recurring practices in the electricity sector and compliance with safety standards, such as the proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

The training also includes concepts of instrument reading, voltage and current measurement, as well as training for performing maneuvers on live lines, according to the defined limits for electricity distribution electricians.

Employability and Regional Perspective

The interior of Bahia records projects for expansion and modernization of the network, as well as new connections and seasonal maintenance, sustaining demand for certified professionals.

Although the course does not guarantee automatic hiring, the fact that it is conducted by a sector distributor and a recognized technical institution increases the employability of graduates.

In general, graduates of this type of program have a profile that fits vacancies for network electrician, external maintenance electrician, and service technician, roles that require mastery of standardized norms and operations.

Deadlines and Attention to the Schedule

The extension announced by Neoenergia Coelba keeps enrollment open until October 30, 2025, replacing the initial forecast of closing at the end of September.

This extension meets local demand and gives additional breath to those still gathering documents or adjusting their schedules to meet participation requirements.

It is recommended to monitor, during the process, any announcements regarding qualifying stages, admission exams, and the start of classes, which are usually disclosed through official channels.

Documents and Verifications Required

For the electrician course, interested parties need to gather a diploma or certificate of completion of high school, a valid identification document, definitive CNH B or higher, CPF, and proof of residence.

Other verifications related to prior experience or complementary courses may be requested, depending on the class regulations.

Intensive Training and Work Safety

The intensive nature of the training — with up to 800 hours — responds to the requirements of safety and standardization in the electricity sector.

Procedures such as risk analysis, temporary grounding, area signaling, and rescue at heights are fundamental parts of the content and aim to reduce the likelihood of incidents during task execution.

The presence of qualified instructors and practical experiences in controlled environments contribute to consolidating critical skills before contact with the operational network.

How to Enroll

Enrollment for the Electricians School must be done exclusively through Neoenergia’s website, at the address www.neoenergia.com/escola-de-eletricistas, until October 30, 2025.

The online form presents the required fields, lists the necessary documents, and confirms the shift for each city — daytime in Seabra and nighttime in Itaberaba.
