Work 4 hours a day and earn R$1.100 as a distance learning tutor at UEPB. Applications open until 08/12/2024. Hurry to secure your spot!

Earn up to R$1.540 per month with just 4 hours of daily work! The CECIERJ Foundation offers 117 vacancies for tutors in the Social Preparatory Course 2025. Home office and in-person vacancies available for several subjects, including English and Spanish.

Earning money without leaving home and still contributing to the education of young people is a reality that the Center for Science and Distance Higher Education Foundation of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Fundção CECIERJ) is offering.

With a selection process that promises to revolutionize the lives of those who want work with distance learning, the foundation is offering 117 vacancies for tutors in the Social Pre-University Program (PVS) 2025.

But how does this opportunity work and who can apply?

How does the program work?

According to the CECIERJ Foundation, the program seeks tutors to work in both face-to-face and distance learning (EAD) modalities.

In-person activities include Saturday classes, academic guidance sessions and teaching tasks, with a workload of eight hours per week.

On the other hand, EAD tutors will work 20 hours per week, exclusively in the online environment.

These vacancies cover the areas of English and Spanish, in addition to other disciplines, with options for those with training in Libras (Interpreter).

Which subjects have vacancies?

The selection covers the following areas:

  • Portuguese language;
  • Math;
  • Physical;
  • Chemistry;
  • Biology;
  • History;
  • Geography;
  • English;
  • Spanish;
  • Libras (Interpreter).

According to the notice, English and Spanish tutors will carry out their activities exclusively remotely. This opens up space for candidates from any region to apply.

Requirements to apply

To compete for a place, you must be studying or have completed a degree at an institution recognized by Ministry of Education (MEC).

However, there is a restriction: candidates who were removed from the program in 2024 or had unsatisfactory performance will not be able to participate.

Another important point is that interested parties must pay a registration fee of R$40,00, to be paid at Banco Bradesco.

How much do tutors earn?

Pay is one of the attractions of the selection process. According to information from the CECIERJ Foundation itself, in-person tutors will receive grants ranging from R$770,00 to R$1.540,00.

Distance learning tutors will earn a fixed amount of R$770,00 for 20 hours of remote work per week.

Selection process steps

The selection will be divided into two phases:

  1. General Portuguese Language and Specific Content Test;
  2. Didactic Test, which will take place online.

According to the notice, the first stage is scheduled for the day 25 January 2025, and the result with the classifieds will be announced in February 17, 2025.

Candidates must arrive at the test site one hour in advance.

Open Applications at CECIERJ

The registration period has already started and will run until the day 06 January 2025. Interested parties should access the official page of the CECIERJ Foundation's Social Preparatory Course Program, at the following link: Registration for the PVS 2025 Selection Process.

The CECIERJ Foundation also reported that there will be 117 scholarships available, 116 of which will be for immediate hiring in 23 municipalities in the state of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to reserve registration.

The workload and location vary depending on the chosen modality, but all vacancies follow the academic standards established by the MEC.

With an accessible proposal focused on quality education, this opportunity offers not only a job, but also the chance to transform the lives of many students.
