Transpetro Announces Historic Offer of Free Courses with 1,600 Openings in Four States of Brazil
Transpetro announced, this Wednesday (3), the opening of 1,600 openings in free professional qualification courses. The opportunities will begin in the first semester of 2026 and will serve residents of Pará, Rio de Janeiro, Bahia, and São Paulo.
The agreement was signed in Brasília, in partnership with the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MTE) and Senai-DN. The initiative reinforces the strategy to expand access to technical training in Brazil.
The program aims to strengthen employability and provide professional qualification to young people and adults living near the company’s operations. Thus, Transpetro accelerates social actions that have already been structured by the Transformar Program.

Program Reinforces Social Commitment and Expands Opportunities
The agreement is named “Pathways to the Future: Qualification and Opportunities”. It is part of the Transformar Program, which focuses on employability, entrepreneurship, and income generation.
The company aims to expand the offer of free courses and facilitate access for community residents to new opportunities in the job market.
The president of Transpetro, Sérgio Bacci, highlighted the impact of the action:
“The ‘Pathways to the Future’ agreement reinforces our commitment to sustainable regional development (…)”
According to him, investing in technical education means strengthening social and economic growth in the regions served.
How the Free Courses Will Work
The courses will have 160 hours of classes over two months.
Each student will receive a scholarship of R$ 1,000 and a complete educational kit.
At the end of the training, participants will have access to the “Employability – The New Path of Professional Training” track.
They will also receive professional support for six months.
Senai will publish regional notices with all registration rules.
Bahia Concentrates the Largest Number of Opportunities
Bahia will receive 900 openings, which will be distributed across five municipalities.
In total, there will be 17 free courses.
Among them are industrial electrician, warehousekeeper, bricklayer, baking, logistics, welder, and quality inspector.
The state plays a central role in professional training within the agreement.
São Paulo Will Have 400 Openings in Mauá
The municipality of Mauá will open 400 openings spread across eight courses. Among the offered training, are hydraulic automation, electrical commands, instrumentation, administrative assistant, and logistics operator.
In addition, these opportunities serve both the industrial and administrative sectors, which expands the scope of qualifications and strengthens regional employability.
Rio de Janeiro Will Have 200 Openings in Japeri
Japeri will receive 200 openings distributed across seven free courses. Among the options, are hydraulic firefighter, stonemason, versatile bricklayer, industrial painter, and pipe insulator.
Moreover, the municipality will offer vacancies in food training, such as pizza and pasta manufacturing assistant, which expands the diversity of areas covered by the program.
Pará Offers 100 Openings in Belém
Belém will offer 100 openings, distributed across seven courses. Among the available trainings, stand out automotive mechanic, track tractor operator, excavator operator, electrical installer, and industrial plumber.
In addition, the Northern region will receive an important boost in professional qualification, as the project expands access to new opportunities for technical development.
Professional Placement After Completion
The Sine will automatically register all graduates, which allows them to access available vacancies throughout Brazil. Thus, participants quickly enhance their chances of entering the job market.
Additionally, Senai includes each student in its employability platform. This six-month support identifies new opportunities and assists graduates in actively seeking employment.
Transformar Program Already Shows Expressive Results in Brazil
Created in 2023, the Transformar started its activities in São Sebastião (SP). Thus, the program directly responded to the heavy rains that hit the municipality and required swift social support actions.
Since then, Transformar has qualified 1,180 people in cities like Rio Grande and Angra dos Reis. Furthermore, the program has offered courses such as boilermaker, administrative assistant, and deckhand, strengthening local employability.
In 2026, Transformar will open another 100 openings in Salvador for engineering students. Therefore, the initiative will continue to expand its reach and create new opportunities for professional training in different regions of Brazil.
