Trump Mobile revealed the second generation of the Trump Phone T1, a golden phone with a 50-megapixel main camera, OLED screen, and Android system, listed on the company’s website for US$ 499, featuring the flag of the United States on the back and promising entirely domestic manufacturing with an assembly line in Miami.
The telecommunications company linked to President Donald Trump presented the renewed version of the Trump Phone T1, the golden phone that carries the flag of the United States on the back and the inscription “Trump Mobile” as the device’s visual identity. The model is not yet available for purchase but is already accepting reservations through a waiting list on the official website. The indicated “promotional price” is US$ 499, equivalent to about R$ 2,500 at the current exchange rate. The main camera has a 50-megapixel sensor, and Trump Mobile has not disclosed when the golden phone will start being delivered.
The first version of the device reached the public in June 2025, and the brand emerged with the promise of delivering products entirely assembled in the United States, with consumer support also based in the country. According to the technology website The Verge, which accessed the new model before its launch, the assembly takes place in a facility located in Miami, Florida. On the Trump Mobile website, the company states that the Trump Phone was created under the banner of “American innovation” and that local professionals were involved from the design conception to the final inspection.
What changed in the new Trump Phone T1

The second-generation golden phone brought updates to the technical specifications compared to the original model from 2025. The screen now uses OLED technology with a diagonal of 6.78 inches, a size that positions the device in the same range as known mid-range phones in the global market.

Samsung has brought the artificial intelligence from its more expensive phones to two new mid-range models, and now features like call transcription and automatic photo editing are available at a much lower price.

The operating system is Android from Google, ensuring access to the Play Store and the ecosystem of services that most users are already familiar with.
The rear camera features three lenses: a 50-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel wide-angle module, and a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor designed for distant captures. The power comes from a 5,000 mAh battery, compatible with 30-watt charging.
Although the specifications place the Trump Phone T1 in the mid-range category, the main appeal of the golden phone is not the technical sheet itself, but what it represents as a symbol of identity for those who support Donald Trump.
The finish that defines the golden phone from Trump Mobile

The appearance of the product is the element that stands out the most. The body of the golden phone repeats the same visual proposal as the inaugural version: golden hue throughout the chassis, the flag of the United States positioned on the back panel, and the “Trump Mobile” logo engraved on the device.
The aesthetics directly reference the personal style of the president and the discourse of valuing domestic production that accompanies his political career.
The Trump Phone operates on a different logic than traditional competitors. Trump Mobile does not compete with Samsung, Apple, or Xiaomi in terms of sales scale or sophistication of the camera and processor.
The golden phone occupies a separate space: that of a collectible item and political statement, intended for supporters who see the act of consuming as a way to express ideological position. The absence of a concrete launch date and the waiting list scheme reinforce this profile of a niche product.
Manufacturing in the United States: what we know so far
One of the central axes of Trump Mobile’s discourse is that the golden phone comes entirely from American factories. The Verge’s investigation confirmed that the assembly of the device takes place at a facility in Miami, Florida.
The company’s portal complements this narrative by stating that teams from the United States were involved in every step, from design to quality verification.
This promise fits into Donald Trump’s broader discourse about bringing industry back to the United States. In a market dominated by devices coming from production lines in China, Vietnam, and India, presenting a golden phone with a “made in USA” label functions, above all, as a political gesture.
It remains to be seen whether the production in volume will confirm this promise when the waiting list for the Trump Phone begins to be fulfilled.
What US$ 499 buys in the mobile phone market today
For US$ 499, the American buyer finds several options for mid-range devices and even models that are approaching the premium range.
The Trump Phone T1 enters this competition with compatible specifications, such as a 50-megapixel camera and a 6.78-inch OLED display, but it does not have any technical differentiator that justifies the price solely based on the technical sheet. What Trump Mobile embeds in this price is the weight of the brand and the appeal of a patriotic product.
In Brazil, the direct conversion to R$ 2,500 does not take into account import taxes, shipping, and duties, which could significantly raise the final cost of the golden phone for the Brazilian consumer.
So far, Trump Mobile has not indicated any intention to sell the Trump Phone outside the United States, which restricts the device to the American market and, perhaps, to international orders made through the website.
And you, would you buy a golden phone with the brand of a president engraved on the back, or do you think this is pure political marketing strategy? Leave your opinion in the comments.
