Uber has implemented a new campaign during Carnival focused on solidarity. The initiative aims to encourage blood donation during a period marked by a decline in the number of volunteers.

As an incentive, the company offers credits of up to R$50 in rides for those who travel to participating collection units.

The action began on February 11, 2026, and remains valid until the 26th of the same month. The benefit is directed at users who donate at blood centers linked to the GSH Group.

The goal is to contribute to the replenishment of stocks, which are traditionally impacted during the holiday.

Historically, Carnival represents a challenge for blood banks. While the movement in hospitals remains high, the attendance of donors tends to decrease.

This scenario concerns specialists, especially due to the ongoing need for transfusions in emergencies, surgeries, and medical treatments.

In this environment, it is necessary to select the collection unit of the GSH Group where they intend to donate, indicating that they want to participate in the campaign.

After registration, the participant receives an individual promotional code. This code must be entered in the Uber app before requesting the ride.

The credit of up to R$50 can be used on the way there, on the way back, or split between both trips. However, it is essential that one of the points of the trip is a qualified collection unit.

It is worth noting that the discount is not activated automatically. Therefore, the user should check if the code was correctly applied in the app.

In the Southeast, the participating cities are São Paulo (SP), Santo André (SP), Ribeirão Preto (SP), Araçatuba (SP), Rio de Janeiro (RJ), and Petrópolis (RJ).

In the Northeast, the action takes place in Salvador (BA), Recife (PE), and Teresina (PI). In the Central-West, Brasília (DF) is included in the list.
