Converted to Brazilian currency according to the values presented, the remuneration corresponds to an approximate range of R$ 11,800 to R$ 14,750 per month. “I go to someone’s house, renew the windows, the gates, whatever is needed in the clients’ house we do,” he said. The activity keeps the Brazilian connected to the construction industry, but with a focus mainly on work carried out directly in residences.
During the interview with influencer Marlon Lourenço, the worker was asked about the income obtained in France.
According to the report, the monthly amount varies between:
- € 2,000, equivalent to approximately R$ 11,800;
- € 2,500, equivalent to approximately R$ 14,750.
The variation indicates that the construction worker’s income is not fixed and can change according to the quantity or type of service performed in a given period. The values presented became the main point of debate among users who watched the video.
Internet users compared income with salaries in Brazil
Some comments related the Brazilian’s earnings to the amounts charged by construction professionals in Brazil. A follower stated that a good Brazilian construction worker can charge at least R$ 200 per day and reach about R$ 5,000 per month.

Another user stated that professionals working on a contract basis can earn approximately R$6,000 monthly. However, the comparisons were made by the users themselves and do not represent the earnings reported by the interviewed worker.
Other comments highlighted that the direct conversion from euros to reais does not consider the expenses of those living in the French capital. One user assessed that €2,500 would be a limited amount given the cost of living in Paris, especially for those who need to cover their monthly expenses in the country.
“I congratulate this brother and wish him the best of luck. However, €2,500 in Paris is very little money, a pittance that only allows you to survive as a single person,” he wrote. The comment expanded the discussion beyond the nominal comparison between salaries received in France and Brazil.
Construction worker highlights safety and access to products
Despite the different evaluations made on social networks, the worker from Goiás stated that he considers his quality of life in France to be positive. Among the highlighted aspects are the sense of security and the ease of acquiring products.
The worker did not limit his assessment to the income obtained in construction. During the conversation, he related his experience in the country also to the conditions found in daily life. These factors are part of the personal perception he presented after six years living in France.
Brazilian arrived alone and built a family
When he moved to the European country, the construction worker arrived without family members. Over the years, he formed a new family and currently lives with his wife and children. The couple is also expecting another baby.
When asked about his greatest achievement, he did not point to the salary or the assets acquired. For the construction worker from Goiás, the main result of his journey was the family he built during the time he has lived abroad.
