New Admission Mode Based on Enem Scores
The Unesp-Enem Selection Process 2026 constitutes an alternative entry point to the university’s traditional entrance exam.
Instead of a new test, candidates compete for a spot using the performance obtained in one of the last two editions of the Enem, simplifying access and expanding opportunities for those who have already taken the national exam.
This selection is governed by the Candidate Manual VNSP2509 and follows specific rules outlined in the announcement.
The entire procedure—from application to classification—is conducted by Fundação Vunesp, the same institution that administers Unesp’s regular entrance exam.
In practice, the new modality serves as another option for entry into a public and free university, without replacing the already established entrance exam.
Students can even participate simultaneously in different forms of entry, provided they meet the requirements set forth in the announcements for each selection.
Who Can Participate in Unesp-Enem 2026
Eligible to apply for the Unesp-Enem Selection Process 2026 are candidates who have taken the 2024 Enem or the 2025 Enem and who have either completed high school or are in the process of finishing that stage.
The announcement also includes students who do not yet have the diploma in hand but are regularly enrolled in high school in 2025, as long as they complete their studies within the period established for university admission.
The detailed rules for proving educational attainment are included in the Candidate Manual VNSP2509.
Vacancies in 23 Cities and Highly Sought Courses
The 729 vacancies include courses in Biological Sciences (332 vacancies), Exact Sciences (235 vacancies), and Human Sciences (162 vacancies).
Among the highlights are Medicine, Law, Psychology, Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture, International Relations, and various teaching degrees.
The opportunities are distributed in Araçatuba, Araraquara, Assis, Bauru, Botucatu, Dracena, Franca, Guaratinguetá, Ilha Solteira, Itapeva, Jaboticabal, Marília, Ourinhos, Presidente Prudente, Registro, Rio Claro, Rosana, São João da Boa Vista, São José do Rio Preto, São José dos Campos, Sorocaba, Tupã, and at the Litoral Paulista campus.

Universal System and Quotas for Public School Students
The vacancies are distributed in two systems.
In the Universal System (SU), all candidates can compete.
In the Reservation System for Public Basic Education (SRVEBP), students who completed all of high school in public schools participate.
Within this system, 35% of the vacancies are reserved for candidates who self-declare as Black, Brown, or Indigenous, identified as SRVEBP+PPI.
This policy follows the institutional commitment to enhance diversity and guarantee access to historically underrepresented groups in higher education.
How Classification Will Be Made in Unesp-Enem
Classification will be defined exclusively by the score obtained in the 2024 or 2025 Enem.
There is no application of a supplementary exam.
Each course, campus, and entry system has its own classification list up to the limit of vacancies.
In case of a tie, criteria outlined in the announcement will be used, such as performance in specific areas of the Enem or age.
The candidate competes only for the course and campus selected at the time of application.
Therefore, it is essential to carefully analyze the complete offer table before submitting the form.
How to Register for Unesp-Enem 2026
Applications for the Unesp-Enem Selection Process 2026 must be made exclusively online, on the Fundação Vunesp website, from November 24, 2025, to January 19, 2026.
During the application period, the candidate must access the website, select the Unesp-Enem Selection Process 2026, fill in personal details, indicate which Enem edition they wish to use, choose the course, campus, and competition system, and issue the payment slip for the fee of R$ 20.
The announcement also provides the possibility of requesting exemption or a 50% reduction of the fee, according to socioeconomic criteria and deadlines described in the Candidate Manual.
