More Than R$ 10 Billion Remains Available in the Financial System, According to Official Data, and Can Be Withdrawn by Individuals, Companies, and Heirs. Consultation is Free, Centralized by the Central Bank, and Involves Specific Access and Security Rules.

The Central Bank reported that there are still more than R$ 10 billion in amounts registered as “to receive” in the national financial system.

The data, consolidated until November 2025, includes resources belonging to individuals and companies that have not been withdrawn or transferred by the holders over time.

According to the survey released by the monetary authority, about R$ 7.8 billion corresponds to amounts linked to approximately 49.31 million individuals.

Another R$ 2.22 billion belongs to around 4.96 million companies.

Since the creation of the Receivables System, the Central Bank reports that R$ 12.92 billion have already been returned to the holders.

The system allows for consulting amounts associated with CPFs and CNPJs, including those of deceased individuals.

In these cases, the release of funds depends on proving a legal connection, such as inheritance, probate, or formal representation, in addition to completing a responsibility term required by the system.

What Are the Amounts to Receive at the Central Bank

The amounts registered in the system have various origins.

Among the most common situations are closed bank accounts with remaining balances, improperly charged fees that were subsequently returned, unwithdrawn consortium quotas, as well as other credits registered by financial institutions.

According to the Central Bank, the system does not create new resources nor distribute benefits.

The tool only centralizes information provided by participating institutions and indicates to citizens where there are amounts linked to their name, requiring the holder to initiate the refund request.

How to Consult Forgotten Amounts Using the gov.br Account

The initial consultation can be made with basic identification data.

However, to request the refund of amounts, it is necessary to access the system with a silver or gold gov.br account, with two-step verification enabled.

During the process, the citizen must provide a Pix key to receive the credit.

The Central Bank emphasizes that the service is free and no fee is charged for the release of amounts.

If the holder does not have a registered Pix key, the system guides them to contact the indicated financial institution directly to arrange the method of receipt.

Another option is to register a Pix key and return to the system to complete the request.

Rules for Recovering Amounts of Deceased Individuals

In the case of amounts associated with deceased persons, the consultation is available, but the withdrawal follows specific rules.

Only heirs, executors, testamentary representatives, or legal representatives can proceed with the request.

After the consultation, the interested party must contact the responsible institution and present the required documentation.

The Central Bank states that, in these situations, there is no standard time frame for completing the process, as the procedures depend on each institution’s internal rules.

Automatic Request for Amounts to Receive

Since May 2025, the Central Bank has made available the option for automatic request for amounts to receive.

The feature is optional and, according to the institution, aims to reduce the need for frequent consultations to the system.

In a statement released at the time, the Central Bank stated that the measure seeks to simplify the process, preventing users from having to access the system regularly to check for new amounts in their name.

Enrolling in the automatic request requires a silver or gold gov.br account, with two-step verification.

This feature is available only for individuals with a CPF type Pix key.

Those who do not yet have this key need to register it with the financial institution before enabling the feature.

When Withdrawal Is Not Automatic

Despite the automation, not all amounts are returned automatically.

Financial institutions that have not adhered to the refund term via Pix continue to require manual requests.

The same applies to amounts related to joint accounts, which follow specific rules.

In these cases, the citizen must follow the procedure indicated by the system and contact the responsible institution directly.

Security in the System and Fraud Alerts

The Central Bank has implemented changes to the security mechanisms of the system, requiring two-step verification for integrated access to the gov.br account.

According to the institution, the measure aims to reduce risks of unauthorized access and fraud attempts.

At the same time, official agencies and verification bodies warn about the circulation of scams using false ads and messages, simulating the consultation and refund system.

The Central Bank clarifies that it does not contact to request personal data, passwords, or payments to release amounts.
