WEG, One of the World’s Largest Manufacturers of Electric Motors, Calls for Technical and Engineering Students for Positions at Its Factory

WEG Manufactures Three Giant Electric Generators, Weighing 285 Tons, for Hydroelectric Plant in Santa Catarina
WEG, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of turbines and electric motors, was selected to supply the generators for the UHE São Roque, located in Vargem/SC. Recently, Ruhrpumpen, one of the leading manufacturers of pump systems in the world, chose WEG to supply and install the motors for the Agreste Branch Project, one of Brazil’s major waterworks, which will take water to about 70 municipalities in the state of Pernambuco.
The generators are one of the most important components of the venture, and for the UHE São Roque, WEG provided three SLW 4000 hydro generators with a unit power of 50.5 MVA, 13.8 kV, and 180 rpm, including their auxiliary equipment.
