After Transferring US$ 30,000 To Buy A Supposed Bugatti Veyron Listed On Alibaba, Virginia YouTuber Waited Four Months For Delivery, Recorded The Unboxing Of The Huge Box In Video And Ended Up Discovering That He Had Received Only A Foam Replica
A Virginia YouTuber waited four months for the delivery of a Bugatti purchased on Alibaba for US$ 30,000. When the large box finally arrived at his garage, the unboxing revealed something very different from the hypercar he expected to receive.
Bugatti Purchase On Alibaba Attracted Attention Due To Price
Content creator Carter Sharer decided to explore the car market available on Alibaba and chose to test an unusual offer involving a Bugatti. The ad promised a Bugatti Veyron body for US$ 30,000, an amount that immediately caught attention.
Authentic models from the brand typically reach prices in the millions of dollars. Some exclusive specimens surpass US$ 20 million, while damaged units have been traded for over US$ 1 million.

Toyota embarrassed: car from the brand receives zero safety rating even with airbags and stability control; naturally aspirated 1.5 hatch with up to 105 hp had structure considered unstable and insufficient protection for head and chest.
Even in the face of this extreme price difference, Sharer decided to make the purchase. The YouTuber transferred the amount to a seller located in China and began waiting for the delivery of the supposed Bugatti.
Delivery Of The Bugatti Occurred After Four Months Of Waiting
After four months of waiting, a large box finally arrived at the YouTuber’s home. The wooden packaging took up a good part of the garage and seemed to carefully protect the promised content.
Sharer recorded the entire unboxing process in a video published in August 2025. The footage shows the enormous box resting in the spot as he and his team start the disassembly process.
The packaging structure was made up of several thick boards and layers of protection. With no clear instructions for opening, the group had to slowly remove the wooden panels, using tools to pull out nails and lift parts of the crate.
The process ended up taking longer than expected. The box was firmly secured by dozens of nails and required several cuts and levers before the content was finally revealed.
First Impressions Of The Bugatti Inside The Box
After removing a good part of the wood, the group could see a shiny red object inside the box. At first glance, it did indeed look like the body of a Bugatti, which increased the expectation that the purchase might have been successful.
For a few moments, the overall appearance resembled that of a Bugatti Veyron. The initial discovery generated excitement as Sharer continued examining the newly revealed vehicle.
However, as the inspection progressed, some strange details began to surface. The front grille, for example, did not have the horseshoe shape associated with the traditional design of the Bugatti brand.
Instead, the element appeared to be just a generic sticker applied to the front of the structure. Other components also began to raise doubts among Sharer and his team.
Structure Of The Bugatti Revealed Unexpected Material
Some panels had unusual shapes and several pieces did not seem to serve any real mechanical function. These signs led the group to investigate the wheels and the underside of the structure more closely.
Upon observing the tires, Sharer noticed that something was clearly wrong. The wheels appeared to be made of plastic and the entire structure seemed much lighter than would be expected for a vehicle.
A closer inspection revealed the true problem. Almost all components were made entirely of foam, without any functional automobile structure.
What had been delivered was neither a supercar nor even the actual body of a vehicle. It was essentially a foam replica molded in the shape of a Bugatti Veyron.
Description Of The Ad Clarified What Was Really Purchased
After the discovery, Sharer reviewed the original ad used to purchase the supposed Bugatti. Upon reanalyzing the product description, the situation became clearer.
The text specifically mentioned a “Bugatti Veyron body with protective coating.” This description matched exactly what had been sent in the large box.
Despite the initial expectation of receiving something different, the delivered product was in line with the description provided by the seller. The object was merely a foam structure representing the shape of the car.
Even so, Sharer took the situation with humor. According to the YouTuber himself, he intends to turn the unusual purchase into some creative project after the revelation recorded in video.
