The company invested R$ 165 million, and will generate about 1,096 jobs, both direct and indirect. The company, which operates in Goiás, Mato Grosso, and Paraná, participated in a signing ceremony led by Governor Ronaldo Caiado via videoconference and soon after officially launched the start of construction in the city of Itumbiara.
Present at the ceremony, the Secretary of State for the Economy, Cristiane Schmidt, stated that the benefits of the company’s new facilities go beyond Goiás, being relevant on a national scale. “It is an industrial unit that will bring more competitiveness to our industry and job creation, helping especially now as the pandemic has caused unemployment to rise enormously,” said the secretary.

Governor Ronaldo Caiado celebrated the projection of new jobs in Goiás. “There is no social program in the world more efficient than one that generates work. Employment provides quality of life, support for the whole family, and dignity for the citizen,” emphasized the governor.
According to the Secretary of State for Industry, Commerce, and Services (SIC), Adonídio Neto, the announcement of new investments is a relief for the economy of Goiás and the Brazilian economy.
He reminded that this is not the first investment that Caramuru is making during the pandemic. In July, they announced a partnership with Rumo Logística for the construction of a Rodoferroviário transshipment platform in São Simão.
