The Haval H6 HEV One 2027 reappears as an entry version for R$ 199,900, below the more expensive configurations of Corolla Cross, Creta, and HR-V. The full hybrid SUV dispenses with a plug but gives up the sunroof and compares its price with smaller rivals, some not even electrified.

GWM has brought back to the Brazilian catalog the Haval H6 HEV One, a mid-size hybrid SUV that reappears in the 2027 lineup as an official version for R$ 199,900. The move, announced in early June 2026, places the entry version of the H6 family just below the R$ 200,000 mark, with a 243-horsepower engine and a 560-liter trunk. Previously sold as a special series, the configuration now permanently integrates into the range of the Chinese manufacturer.

The aggressive positioning, however, comes with caveats that the announcement tends to downplay. To reach this price, the hybrid SUV gives up items such as a panoramic sunroof and electric trunk opening, and the comparison that places it below Honda HR-V, Hyundai Creta, and Toyota Corolla Cross uses precisely the more expensive versions of these rivals, with two of them not even being hybrids.

What the Haval H6 HEV One delivers for R$ 199,900

The hybrid SUV Haval H6 HEV One from GWM returns as an entry version for R$ 199,900, below the top versions of Corolla Cross, Creta, and HR-V.
In the mechanical set, the entry version is identical to the intermediate one.

According to GWM’s official specifications, the Haval H6 HEV One combines a 1.5 turbo gasoline engine with an electric motor, totaling 243 horsepower and 54 kgfm of torque, equivalent to 530 Nm.

The transmission is a two-speed automated one, the drive is front-wheel, and the set accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 7.9 seconds, with a top speed limited to 175 km/h.

As a full hybrid SUV, the model does not require a plug.

The 1.6 kWh battery recharges itself, especially during braking and deceleration, and the consumption measured by Inmetro is 14.4 km/l in the city and 11.8 km/l on the highway.

In the list of equipment, GWM reports a 12.3-inch multimedia center, a 10.25-inch digital panel, head-up display, 360-degree vision cameras, driving assistance package, and a 560-liter trunk, in addition to a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.

The cuts that lowered the price of the hybrid SUV

The Haval H6 HEV One is born from a pruning in the list of items of the above version.

Compared to the H6 HEV2, sold for R$ 224,000, the difference is around R$ 24,000, and to get there, GWM removed the panoramic sunroof and the electric trunk opening, in addition to changing finish details, such as wheels and internal tones.

The central screen itself shrinks, as the HEV2 features a 14.6-inch multimedia, compared to the 12.3 inches of the entry version.

Even so, the version preserves what sustains the image of a technological SUV.

The connectivity package, driving assistance, and internal space remain, which helps explain the model’s appeal.

Above the One, the Brazilian lineup includes the HEV2 at R$ 224,000 and the plug-in versions PHEV19 and PHEV35, for R$ 250,000 and R$ 289,000, in addition to the sporty H6 GT, at R$ 325,000, according to a survey by the AutoPapo website.

Against whom the hybrid SUV really competes

It is in the price comparison that the most delicate part of the announcement lies.

At the mentioned prices, the Haval H6 HEV One comes out below the Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid XRX, at R$ 222,690, the Honda HR-V Touring, at R$ 214,000, and the Hyundai Creta Ultimate 1.6 Turbo, at R$ 201,590.

The detail is that all these are top-of-the-line, and the three families have much cheaper entry versions, which changes the conversation for those not looking for the most expensive configuration.

Furthermore, not all rivals play the same electrification game.

The Corolla Cross Hybrid is the most direct competitor, as it is also a hybrid, but the Creta Ultimate and the HR-V Touring are compact SUVs with combustion engines, without a hybrid system, while the H6 is a medium-sized utility vehicle.

In other words, part of the price advantage is explained by comparing models that differ in size and technology.

What weighs against at the time of decision

Before closing the deal, some points deserve consideration.

The first is that it is a streamlined version of a hybrid SUV, which trades comfort for price.

The second is that the published comparison cherry-picks the most expensive configurations of the competitors.

And there are also typical factors of brands that have recently arrived in the country, such as depreciation on resale, the dealership and service network still expanding, and the less known long-term history compared to Toyota, Honda, and Hyundai.

The competition has also tightened in the territory of Chinese hybrids.

Rival brands have started offering electrified SUVs in a similar or lower range, including plug-in options for values close to R$ 189,900, which removes the Haval H6 HEV One from being the only electrified bargain in the segment.

Therefore, it is worth treating the cited prices as reference values, which change frequently and should be confirmed at dealerships.

The return of the Haval H6 HEV One for R$ 199,900 confirms GWM’s strategy to push the hybrid SUV into a more accessible price range, but the title of bargain requires context.

The model delivers medium size, 243 horsepower, and a good technological package for less than R$ 200,000, and this has real weight in the decision.

At the same time, it is a version that cuts items and appears cheaper especially when placed next to top-of-the-line models, sometimes not even hybrids, from rivals.

And you, would you consider a Chinese hybrid SUV like the Haval H6 HEV One instead of a Corolla Cross, HR-V, or Creta? Do you think power and price make up for doubts about resale and service network, or do you prefer the tradition of Japanese and Korean brands? Leave your opinion in the comments, with respect for different opinions, and share this article with those researching an electrified SUV.
