The Course Offered by Alura, Online Technology School, Will Have Five Remote and Free Classes; Registration for the Vacancies Is Already Open
The Java programming language is currently the most used in the world by software developers, making it one of the most demanded by the technology market. In this context, Alura – a business unit of Grupo Alura, which corresponds to a large community of learning in technology – is offering vacancies for its first Java Immersion course.
The course will consist of five online and free classes, which will take place between July 18 and 23. Its goal is to enable beginners in the technology field to learn how to build their first Java project from scratch, so they can add it to their portfolio and enhance their careers. In total, it is expected that 30,000 vacancies will be filled.
This is the first time that Alura is offering a back-end immersion on this topic. However, this year, the platform has already conducted an Immersion in Dev and also a Data Immersion. Thus, over 500,000 individuals have been impacted by the immersion courses offered by Alura, which started the project at the beginning of the pandemic.

CEO of Grupo Alura Highlights the Importance of the Course, Which Features an Experienced Team of Professionals
According to Paulo Silveira, CEO of Grupo Alura, this course is special, given that Alura itself was born from a Java user forum (GUJ), and later the topic became a series of manuals that are still used today. According to the CEO, this programming language marks the beginning of the company’s history when its name was still Caelum and continues to be a reference today.
In addition to Silveira, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and a master’s degree from USP in Computational Geometry, the Java Immersion curriculum also includes an experienced team of professionals, including: Alexandre Aquiles, a software developer since 2005 and a programming teacher since 2013, and Jacqueline Oliveira, a software engineer with a degree in Computer Science and a postgraduate degree in Software Architecture and Engineering.
Registration for the Java Immersion course is now open, and interested candidates for the vacancies should visit, for free, Alura’s website and fill in information such as their full name and email address. After registration, a confirmation email will be sent.
