Metrópole Institute Opens Edital with Over 6,000 Vacancies in Free Technology Courses
The Metrópole Digital Institute (IMD), from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), has released an edital with 6,900 available spots for two types of free courses in the technology field. Enrollment began on Monday (8) and will run until the 21st. The offered courses are for Mobile Device Programmer and Web Programmer, which will be conducted remotely, provided by the Metrópole Institute.

Metrópole Institute and Ministry of Education: An Initiative for the Future
There are 2,700 vacancies for Mobile Device Programmer training, with a workload of 200 hours, and 4,200 vacancies for Web Programmer, also with a workload of 200 hours. Each candidate will have the option to enroll in only one of the free courses. Registration will be confirmed by email and the selection will take place, if there are more candidates than spots, by lottery. The final result of the selection process will be announced on March 22 in the New Paths Program.
Candidates have until March 28 to confirm their enrollment, which will grant access to the virtual learning environment. Classes are scheduled to start on the 29th.
Throughout last year, through the New Paths Program, the IMD provided 17,400 vacancies for different free courses. The initiative of the program is part of a set of actions aimed at strengthening the policy of Vocational and Technological Education, considering the demands of the productive sector and the transformations brought about by technological innovation processes.
Those interested in the free courses must meet, as main requirements, the conditions of being at least 16 years old and having the minimum education required for each course.
