Metrópole Institute opens public notice with more than 6 vacancies in free courses in the technological area

The Digital Metrópole Institute (IMD), of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), launched a public notice with 6.900 vacancies available for two types of free courses in the area of ​​technology. Registration began on Monday (8th) and runs until the 21st. The courses offered are for Mobile Device Programmers and Web Programmers, which will be carried out in the distance learning modality, provided by the Metrópole Institute.

The Instituto Metrópole initiative is part of the Novos Caminhos Program, structured by the Ministry of Education and carried out in partnership with several educational institutions in the country.

Metrópole Institute and Ministry of Education, an initiative for the future

There are 2.700 vacancies for Mobile Device Programmer training, with a workload of 200 hours, and 4.200 vacancies for Web Programmer, also with a workload of 200 hours. Each candidate will have the option of enrolling in only one of the free courses. The registration will be confirmed by e-mail and the selection of vacancies will take place, in case there are more candidates than vacancy, by drawing lots. The final result of the selection process will be announced on March 22 at Novos Caminhos.

Candidates have until March 28 to confirm enrollment, which will give access to the virtual teaching environment. Classes start on the 29th.

Over the past year, through the Novos Caminhos Programme, IMD made 17.400 vacancies available for different free courses. The program's initiative is part of a set of actions to strengthen the Professional and Technological Education policy, which takes into account the demands of the productive sector and the transformations produced by the processes of technological innovation.

Those interested in free courses must meet, as main requirements, the conditions of being at least 16 years old and having the minimum education required for each course.
