Search For Solar Photovoltaic Systems Grow Even During Pandemic
Even during the pandemic, the demand for solar energy solutions has been growing year after year, finding ways to maintain high levels in business. Bloomberg New Energy Finance produced a study, indicating that one-third of the country’s installed capacity will be generated by photovoltaic systems by 2050. Moreover, electricity generation in Brazil is expected to double by that date, reaching 250 GW; thus, the market is clearly in full expansion.

Entec Solar Discusses the Growth of Interested Parties in Solar Energy
The company Entec Solar, from Paraná, specialized in the supply, installation, and maintenance of photovoltaic systems, registered a 1,000% increase in interest for solar energy solutions during the second half of 2020, in particular.
Jessé Jaelson da Silva, partner and director of Entec Solar, comments: “Today, we serve more than 100 interested people across Brazil, who want to know how to reduce their energy costs. In terms of projects, we went from 20 to 50 per month in 2020.”

Solar energy is an irreversible trend for the national market, explains Jessé, who understood its benefits for both the environment and finances; with prices reduced by almost 90% in the last ten years (Absolar) and facilitated financing options (95% of the company’s sales are financed), access to solar energy solutions has been growing rapidly.
For 2021, expectations are high for Entec Solar. Jessé emphasizes: “In January, 49 installations are scheduled, and throughout the year, we believe this number will triple, reaching 150 installations per month.”
Photovoltaic Systems Grow in SP
The state of São Paulo has just surpassed the mark of 75,000 consumers served with solar energy from photovoltaic systems on roofs and small lands, according to a recent mapping by the Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy (ABSOLAR).
The São Paulo territory reached an operational capacity of 602.4 MW in distributed generation from photovoltaic systems and occupies the second position in the state ranking for distributed solar generation in Brazil.
Currently, there are 64,168 photovoltaic systems in operation that supply electricity to about 75,057 consumers, spread across 633 cities, meaning that 98.1% of the 645 municipalities in São Paulo already have at least one photovoltaic solar system in operation.
